Meeting Baby Brother

Ronan was very eager to meet his baby brother. In the months leading up to his arrival, he had many plans of all the things he was going to do with his baby brother. I think he really thought he was never coming because nine months is a long time to a two year old.

The day finally arrived though! Here are some pictures of Ronan meeting his baby brother:

Love this picture. He is waiting to meet his baby brother.

He is ready to go meet him. He brought him a balloon and a baby bottle he found at home. He also brought Mommy a pink carnation.

On their way!

 Love this one too.

They exchanged gifts at the hospital. Ronan got a drill which he LOVED. Baby Jack got an elephant lovie and a Timmy stuffed sheep that Ronan insisted on buying him.

Yeah, this guy is going to be a pretty awesome big brother.

Introducing Jackson Jay

At around 3:50 a.m. on Friday, April 13th, I woke up in labor. My first thought was "Oh man! This can't be happening on Friday the 13th!" My due date was still half a week away. So I denied the fact that I was in labor for an hour or two and then around 6:30, I decided I better wake up Ryan because this was really happening. We called the grandparents to let them know to be on their way. We left for the hospital around 9:30.

When we arrived at the hospital, we checked in and they confirmed I was in labor. I was still pretty comfortable so I was feeling pretty confident in not needing an epidural, but that quickly changed within an hour. I had to wait a very long time for that epidural. Haha, but I definitely learned to just go ahead and put in your order for one when you arrive at the hospital. :)

At around 1:30, it was time to push. Our sweet baby Jackson was born at 1:50 p.m. on Friday, April 13th, 2012.

Here are some pictures from that day:

Handy Ronan Video

Handy Ronan

I sucked up a nail with my vacuum and it was making a very loud noise. Ronan told me that he would "stix" it for me. So him and Daddy got their tools and did a great job fixing it. Here is a picture of them working hard to fix it and then I will post a video next where Ryan was trying to teach Ronan the parts on the Leatherman tool.

On a side note, later that night is when I went into labor with Jack.

Our Little Hamster

One morning while I was cleaning up after breakfast, Ronan was calling for me from the laundry room. I go find him and he is in the dryer spinning like a hamster in the dryer. He was quite proud of himself.

Love this kid. He always keeps us laughing,.

Easter 2012

So for my sake, I am going to pick up where I left off back in April. I will slowly catch up. This Easter, I was VERY pregnant so we stayed at home and let people come to us.

We had fun dying Easter eggs on Saturday. Then on Easter Sunday, the Easter Bunny came and we had an Easter egg hunt that afternoon with family.

While hunting Easter eggs, Ronan would not pick up any of the hard boiled eggs we had dyed because they did not have treats in them. He only wanted the plastic eggs with candy.

Let's Try This Again...

Well, looks like having a second baby kind of set me WAY back on the blog. I had good intentions of updating the blog the next day after my last post back in April, but instead I went into labor and Jackson was born a few days early. So, stay tuned. I have been busy updating our blog with a new look and then I will start catching up on A LOT of posts and fun pictures and videos of these sweet boys.

Where have we been?

So, I will be honest. I went two whole months (maybe closer to three) without taking any pictures of my child. Mom of the year award, right?

I have an excuse though. We have been extremely busy MOVING!

We put our old house on the market right after Christmas and it sold at the beginning of February! We really wanted a one story house with a big backyard for the boys and the dogs. So we found a home about fifteen minutes away from our old one and bought it.

I would post pictures. However, there are some crazy people out there! :)

We moved in mid-March and are finally settled in and life is functionable again!! We love the new house and feel so much more comfortable. Even the dogs are in heaven!
Now, we are just waiting on Baby Jackson to arrive. My due date is in less than a week so it could be any day now!!! I will post pictures of his nursery soon.

So I apologize for neglecting the blog for so long. I am back on track of taking pictures of our child again and will try my best to post them more often.

Anyways, since I can't have a post without pictures, with the move, Ronan became pretty obsessed with tools. Here are some pictures of him working with Ryan to set up his new play scape from Pops and Nana in the backyard.

He is pretty serious about being a worker man and about his tools. He did not want me to take his pictures because he was "busy working." We even have to take our tools in the car everywhere we go these days. Handy Manny is his new favorite show.

Christmas with Our Families

After having a small Christmas morning at our house, we packed up and headed to Waco to spend Christmas with both of our families.
We had a great time! Here are some pictures:

Nana reading the Christmas story to Ronan.

Yes, my husband asked for a tourniquet for Christmas. :)

Opening presents at Pops and Nana's house!

Then, we headed over to Grandpa and Mimi's house. Mimi holding baby Ava on her first Christmas.

Riding around on his new scooter. Got to wear that helmet!

Having cookies with Hunter. These boys have so much fun together!

Christmas 2011

Ronan had a wonderful Christmas! Ronan was really into Santa Claus this year. Santa brought him a blue Power Wheels Jeep. He was quite excited! Here are some pictures from our Christmas:

So excited on Christmas Eve!

Christmas Program Video

Here is the video of Ronan's Christmas program. Notice he keeps looking up at the stage. After the program, he kept talking about how next year he is going to stand on the stage.

Visiting Santa Claus

Ronan got to visit Santa Claus at the mall this year. He was so excited about going to talk to Santa and was very patient and waited in line for thirty minutes. When his turn finally came, he froze up and would not smile or talk to Santa. However, when we left, he kept talking about how he told Santa he wanted a blue jeep. Maybe he slipped him a note or something because their was no communication going on.

Christmas Program

Ronan started a Mother's Day Out program this fall. Before Christmas, they had a Christmas program. I was worried if Ronan would actually stand up there during the program or if he would see us and run, but he did a really great job! He stayed up there the whole time and even sang and danced a little (and even picked his nose.)

I have a video. I will post it next. Here are some pictures:

He got to wear sheep ears and they gave him a bell to shake.

They passed out glow sticks to be the candles for singing "Silent Night." Probably best with a bunch of toddlers. :)

Family picture...somebody was more interested in his glow stick. :)

A LOT of catching up...

Scroll down to read SEVERAL catch up posts. Sorry for the lack of updates. As you can see, we are expecting baby number two!! So basically ever since I became pregnant in August, I have been a little too exhausted to update the blog. My goal is to catch up with 2011 posts and then start new in 2012!

Halloween 2011

After going to the fair, Ronan decided that he wanted to be a cowboy for Halloween. Of course, we had to get a cowboy shirt, boots, a six shooter gun, and a cowboy hat.

Heart of Texas Fair & Rodeo

This past fall we also took Ronan to the Heart of Texas Fair and Rodeo. Ronan had a blast. He loves rides!!! He seriously asks daily to go back to the fair! Too bad he will have to wait until next year.

Here are some pictures:

Walking into the fair together. They love each other.

Petting a camel.

Hunter and Grandpa

Driving the tractors at the fair.

Watching the rodeo.

They would both clap for the cowboys.

Having a good time!

Of course, we have to ride the carousel!

My favorite picture of the night. This pretty much sums up how much fun they have together.

Ronan riding the motorcycles. I thought this was a little too advanced for him because it went pretty fast, but he insisted and loved it. He got on and yelled out "I'm ridin' a motorcycle!"
