2 Months

This morning Ronan had his two month check up. The doctor said that he looks great! While we were there, he had to get five vaccines. He only cried a little bit while they were giving him the shots, but once we picked him up and it was over, he was fine and happy again.

Here are his two month stats:

Weight: 11 pounds 8 ounces (50th percentile)Bulleted List

Length: 23 1/4 inches (above the 50th percentile)

Head Circumference: 39.2 centimeters (30th percentile)

Here are some things about Ronan at 2 months old:
  • Ronan will sleep for about 7 hours straight at night. He wakes up for a feeding between 6-7 a.m. and will go back to sleep until 9 or 10 a.m. (How lucky are we???)
  • He has started to bat his hands and kick his feet more.
  • When he begins to cry, he sticks out his bottom lip like he is pouting. He gets that from his Mommy.
  • He likes to play on his play mat and has started to play on it for longer periods of time (around 2o minutes)
  • He will look at the pictures when we read books to him. His favorites are "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, " "Where Is Baby's Belly Button?," "Jungle Jeep," and gun magazines (guess who reads him those)
  • He coos and has become quite vocal when he is happy.
  • He can sit in his Bumbo seat.
  • He will start to cry in the morning if he hasn't had his bath yet. As soon as he gets one, he calms down and is happy again. He loves to be clean like his mom.
  • He is quite a wiggler when he sleeps. We will put him in his bassinet vertically and when we go to get him in the morning, he is turned horizontally. One morning, he had turned himself over on his stomach. (He gets that from his Daddy)

Well, it looks like he is still afraid of that monster. I tried two times this week to get a happy picture with the monster, but each time it resulted in a crying fit. So, I give up for now. Maybe next month.

He's getting so long! (I keep forgetting to take that tag off that worm. It drives me nuts! Maybe I can crop it out one day.)

These past two months have been incredible! Ronan brings so much joy to both Ryan and I. We love him so much and can't wait to watch him grow even more in the next month.
