One Year Old

Ronan is one year old. We cannot believe that a year has passed since we were blessed with our sweet baby boy. Each day he is seeming more and more like a toddler and less like our little baby.

Weight: 20 pounds 11.5 ounces*

Height: 20 1/4 inches*

*Please note that these are only approximations as he was screaming and flipping out the entire time these were taken. Yes, someone remembers the doctors office now and he just LOVES going! :)

Here are some facts about Ronan at 1 year old:

• Ronan began walking about 1 week before his first birthday.
• Ronan can say several words now. Some words he can say are bye, hi, dada, mama, doggy- "diggy," pup pup, night night-"ni-ni,"
• We are working on signing different phrases. He can sign "all done" and "more."
• He can nod his head yes and shake his head no.
• He has moved to drinking whole milk now. Whooo!!!
• His favorite foods are meatballs, cheese, turkey, Natural Cheetos, and ice cream.
• He sleeps about 12 hours at night, He goes down about 9 and wakes up around 8:30-9:00 and takes a one hour to two hour nap at around 11:30 everyday.
• He loves to read books and knows how to turn the pages.
• He has five teeth with his sixth one poking through.
• He can drink through a straw.
• He can eat with a spoon. It's a mess, but he can do it and understands the concept. He just sometimes forgets that he has a spoon full of something while he is swinging his spoon around. Yes, an OCD persons worst nightmare. :)
